Quinn's Therapeutic Orientation

I practice therapy from a trauma-informed, feminist, relational perspective.

I prioritize mitigating the effects of trauma on the body, mind, and spirit. I understand the impact of adverse childhood experiences. I emphasize establishing safety within and outside of therapy, creating a solid alliance with you, and accompanying you through the safe exploration of traumatic memories.

Within the therapeutic relationship, I aim to reduce the hierarchy as much as possible. I strive to meet you where you are at. I acknowledge, celebrate, and support explorations of the intersections of race, class, gender, sexuality, disability, and other axis of difference.

Through art therapy, I want to find ways to facilitate liberation through artistic practice. I am trained to understand the power of the creative process and the potential for art production. I aide clients in navigating life’s turbulence. I support individuals and communities in creating a more livable life, using artmaking as a strategy to articulate their own visions of understanding, balance, and strength.
